PROBATE RESEARCH

If someone is named as a beneficiary in a Will and later cannot be identified or located by the executors, their entitlement may stay indefinitely on deposit in a solicitor’s bank account, or eventually be paid into court.

In a similar way, when a person dies without leaving a Will, if no next of kin are known, any assets that they may have left, will eventually go to The Crown, or the Duchy of Cornwall or Lancaster. An astonishing 70% of the population of Great Britain do not make a Will, leading to over £100 million per annum going into the treasury accounts from this source.

In either case, Nene Valley Research can undertake the necessary research to identify or locate the entitled heirs or missing beneficiaries.
